Engine shed, part 1

I have started to build the engine house, or the engine shed, as the Brits would say. I am building it from scratch, using 0.4 mm plywood and individual pieces of scale lumber. Not the most efficient way of modeling, but I find the tinkering somewhat relaxing and amusing.

Here is what I have done so far.

The wall sections have not yet been glued together. For the time being they are just leaning on each other.

Ballasting done

The next obvious step was of course ballasting. Now done, although weeds and grass will later be added.

As for size comparison. Although this is O scale but 2 ft gauge the model rail gauge is 12.7 mm which is right in between H0 and N scale. Rail is code 70.

In the last picture, note the Sunday dinner chicken in the upper right corner 😀
